Our macadamia base oils are ideal for diluting essential oils before using them on the skin. All of our base oils are 100% pure natural oil.

The macadamia nut was first discovered (by Europeans) after the settlement of Australia, although it had been eaten and processed by Indigenous Australians for many years. Macadamia nut oil is very versatile for cooking, cosmetics, and personal care. The oil has long been used in cooking, as it is excellent for frying due to its high heat capacity.

It can also be stored for over a year without any refrigeration. In cosmetics, the oil is typically used in thicker creams because the oils are heavier and have a more luxurious feel. Macadamia also has some use for blocking the sun's harmful rays, which is why it's often used in sunscreen lotions. Perhaps most notably, the oil closely resembles sebum, which the skin naturally produces to protect itself.
